Happy Tails veterinary physiotherapy terms and conditions

General

Happy Tails veterinary physiotherapy reserve the right to cancel appointment sessions at any time prior to your appointment, which may occur due to staff illness, equipment malfunction, or travel difficulties.

Happy Tails veterinary physiotherapy reserve the right to refuse treatment to any animal if it is deemed to be inappropriate in order to comply with The Veterinary Surgeons Act 1996.

Please note treatment lengths may vary as it is dependent on the animal's condition.

Veterinary physiotherapy is undertaken at the owner's own risk. It is the owner's responsibility to make Happy Tails veterinary physiotherapy aware at the first instance of any changes to your animal's health status, medication or additional treatment, alongside anything that may impact your animal's progress.

If your dog is or has been unwell within 48 hours prior to your appointment, you must contact Happy Tails veterinary physiotherapy at your earliest convenience in order to rearrange your appointment.

Health and safety

Happy Tails Veterinary Physiotherapy does not accept responsibility for any personal injury during your appointment.

Appointments and cancellations

Late arrivals

Due to the nature of the service being mobile, it is possible we may be late as a result of traffic.

Cancellation charges

if an appointment is cancelled within 24 hours or less the full session amount will be charged.

if an appointment is called within 24-48 hours, half of the session amount will be charged.

if an appointment is cancelled 48 hours or more before the appointment no charge will be made.

Insurance claims

if you are wanting to claim physiotherapy sessions on your insurance you will;

a. be required to arrange payment from your insurer prior to your session(s)

b. be required to pay for your session(s) on the day and request a reimbursement from your insurer personally.

We only request information, that we have a legitimate requirement for, to enable us to fulfil our role as a service provider.

We use your personal data for:

Internal record keeping.
To gain medical history and veterinary permission from members of the multi-disciplinary team that have treated or cared for your pet.
Pet insurance companies to enable processing of insurance claims.

You may request to see the personal data we hold about you.
We want the data we store to be correct, so we will rectify any information that you inform us is incorrect.
You have the right to ask us to withdraw your consent or erase your personal information at any time.

By agreeing to the terms and conditions of Happy Tails Veterinary Physiotherapy you;

For Owners;

Give permission for veterinary physiotherapy treatment to be performed on your animal and understand that this will be discussed with your vet.
Give permission for your details to be kept in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Consent to giving payment for each treatment session within 7days of the appointment.

For Veterinarians doing veterinary referrals;

The above named animal is under your care and in your professional opinion the physiotherapy treatment is suitable for them. You understand, with this referral, that you are not responsible for any physiotherapy treatment given and the professional indemnity insurance for this is the responsibility of the physiotherapist.

Changes to our Privacy Policy
We may change this privacy policy statement at any time and such changes take immediate effect. This privacy policy was last updated in September 2023.
